Halfway there

Work has been amazing.  The weather is brightening up around here, and every day is a perfect day. 

Here, are the spectacular views from my office at LBNL:

What have I done so far?  Well, a lot of firsts for sure:
        1.      Danced at a block party during Gay Pride weekend

        2.      Rode the BART

        3.      Watched a movie by myself (This is the End-  I recommend it to anyone who enjoyed Pineapple Express and doesn’t mind blood and gore).

        4.      Had bubble tea

        5.      Got yelled at by multiple hobos on separate occasions.  My favorite comment was that I was a “raggedy a** ho”.  Thank you for that.  I shall use those exact terms to describe myself in icebreaker conversations.

        6.      Walked up a 1 mi. hill with a 30 lb. bag of groceries + a cantaloupe. 

        7.      Went on the worst date of my life…and, didn’t realize it was a date until it was over.  (I live in a world of extreme denial).

       8.      Watched Despicable Me 2 in 3D with some friends while sneaking in screwdrivers.  Wasn’t my idea, but it made the movie that much funnier.  Maybe that’s why I think it’s the best movie I’ve seen in a long time.  Hmm…

I’m really trying to make an effort with this blogging thing, but so far, I’m failing miserably. 

Best friend visited me and took me to San Francisco!
